You wouldn’t think sports and fashion have much in common, but for me, the two have always been connected. Growing up on the basketball court, I learned early on that what you wear can impact how you feel—and that doesn’t just apply to performance. Whether it was my game-day sneakers or the post-practice hoodie I’d throw on, those little details mattered. Over time, they started influencing how I dressed off the court too.
Basketball culture has always had a huge impact on fashion. Just look at the rise of athleisure—people are rocking sneakers and joggers not just to the gym, but to dinner and beyond. For me, it’s about taking that sporty vibe and giving it a fashion-forward twist. I love a good pair of high-top sneakers paired with some tailored joggers or throwing on a varsity jacket with some slim-fit jeans. It’s casual, but it’s also got a bit of an edge.
One of my favorite things to do after a game is snap a stylish photo of whatever I’m wearing. I’ll post it up, not just for the likes but because it’s a reminder of how much fashion and sports have shaped my life. Fashion photos and street style captures are where I pull a lot of inspiration from too. Seeing how athletes and musicians are blending athletic wear with high fashion keeps me experimenting with my own looks.
At the end of the day, fashion is about feeling good in what you wear, whether you’re on the court or hitting the streets. The collision of sports and fashion isn’t going anywhere, and I’m all for it.
